Helping children survive blood diseases & for better quality of life for families during and after the disease

As a researcher, you can apply for grants focusing on blood diseases in children. For families with sick children, we arrange activities, lectures and more.

The memorial fund is run by the family and was founded in 1987 after the passing of daughter and sister Ellen from leukemia.

Karin Mellgren's project is about increasing knowledge about complications after Hematopietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HCT) as 5-15% of patients who undergo HCT die due to treatment-related complications and even more suffer from side effects.
